MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), who began his legal career as a legal advisor to the Memphis Police Department, learned of the passing of longtime Memphis Police officer and Shelby County Sheriff Bill Oldham Thursday and made the following statement:
“I had the greatest regard for Bill Oldham’s professionalism and character. He was one of the best sheriffs we’ve had in Shelby County. I extend my sincere condolences to his family, his colleagues in law enforcement, and his many friends.”
