Washington, D.C. – Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) is pleased to announce that the 2026 Congressional Art Competition is now open for submissions.
The annual competition highlights the creativity of high school artists nationwide and is sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives. Students from Maryland’s First Congressional District are invited to participate. One winner from each district is selected to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Since the program began in 1982, more than 650,000 students have entered the competition.

Go to the “Services” tab at the top of the screen and click on “Art Competition.” Artwork can be submitted to any of our district offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. Please call one of the offices listed below to schedule a time to drop off your artwork.
