Congressman Baird Statement on Tippecanoe County Judge Steven Meyer

Today, Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) released the following statement on Tippecanoe County Superior Court 2 Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, Kimberly, who were injured after being shot in their home:
“I was horrified to hear that Judge Steven Meyer and his wife were shot. Violence against our judges, their families, or any public servant is unacceptable and must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I have confidence in the Lafayette Police Department and their ability to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrator to justice. I am grateful to hear the Meyers are both in stable condition, and I ask everyone to please join me in praying for their full and swift recovery.”
