Griffith Statement on Passing of Damascus Town Council Member Jack McCrady

Damascus Town Councilman Jack Richard McCrady, Jr. passed away on Thursday, October 2. In response to his passing, U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Jack McCrady provided strong and experienced leadership that benefitted his Southwest Virginia community. As a mayor, town councilman and Board of Supervisors member, Jack McCrady’s decades-long career served Washington County and his hometown of Damascus. He contributed to many different community ventures, including his service on the very first Appalachian Trail Days committee. I join Washington County officials and residents in mourning the loss of a dedicated public servant.”
