Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement on the Oval Office meeting between President Trump and the President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele:
“It is illegal to deport American citizens to foreign prisons. It is illegal to imprison and deport anyone in the U.S. without due process. The Supreme Court has ordered the President to facilitate Kilmar Abrego García’s return to the U.S. and President Trump is defying this order and defying the Constitution. The Supreme Court must aggressively enforce its order immediately.”
